A radiant celebration of colour, charm, and cinematic flair took centre stage at Paul & Joe Spring-Summer 2025 Capsule Collection in Paris Fashion week - a line-up that merged joy, good humour, and the carefree elegance of French fashion. The world of Paul & Joe has always been synonymous with unique, whimsical experiences, from ballet-inspired moments to enchanting tea parties straight out of a fairy tale. Now, with the latest collaboration featuring the singer Hélène in Paris, the brand embarks on a fresh chapter of playful exuberance, channelling vibrancy through bold design and radiant beauty. This Spring-Summer 2025 collection, dreamed up by Sophie Mechaly and Hélène Benhamou, presented a cinematic wardrobe filled with joy—effortlessly blending the casual, sun-soaked essence of the French Riviera with a Parisian flair. Deckchair stripes meet floral prints on soft cotton poplin, and the boldness of hand-embroidered dresses or voluminous Mikado skirts caught the eye. At the heart of the collection’s beauty moment, dewy-skinned models radiated with an ethereal glow. Their faces framed beautifully sleek hair and perfected by a timeless red lip—a nod to Parisian sophistication. The look captures the essence of the collection itself: bold yet effortless, playful yet elegant. "This collection is full of warmth, elegance, and life. I want women to fall in love with our clothes, to wear them with the same passion for everyday moments as for life's big celebrations," says Sophie Mechaly, founder of Paul & Joe. The designs are bold and full of life, much like the song Hélène made her own, “Tu veux ou tu veux pas?”. The collection isn't just about clothes—it's a mood, an emotion, and a cinematic reverie where fashion meets art, breathing warmth and joie de vivre into everyday elegance. Hibiscus bloomed once more, led by visionary creators Carley Hague and Liz Mendes, whose bold artistry continues to push boundaries. Sustainability was key, with recycled textiles celebrating both style and respect for the planet. The Hibiscus show took the audience on an emotional journey, with models as Space Dolls bringing the collection to life. Their celestial beauty was enhanced by Astrid Kearney’s visionary makeup as Lead Creative with her team, sponsored by Kryolan and Simon Izzard’s as Lead hair styling for Unite Hair. SøFashion Director: Savannah Barthorpe SøCreative Director: Chris Saint Sims The blending technique effortlessly combines colour hues! RAY CHU’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection transitions from oceanic waves to solid ground, drawing inspiration from the floral landscapes that bloom when drift plants reach the shore. The Crinum asiaticum flower, a symbol of resilience and wisdom in Taiwan’s indigenous culture, takes centre stage. Discovered by the designer during a summer jog, this flower embodies nobility, beauty, and strength, reflecting the brand’s ethos. Using 3D printing, the collection highlights the flower’s form and adds depth to the designs. Discarded wires are deconstructed and reassembled to symbolise new life, with the 3D-printed flowers serving as a bridge between nature and brand identity. The colour palette centres on RAY CHU’s signature fiery red, paired with icy yellow, black, white, and neutral tones. The collection features practical yet playful silhouettes, from misaligned blazers to flared mini skirts and flowerpot-inspired dresses. Fabrics include recycled fish scale textiles, water chestnut yarns, and natural fibres, blending commercial appeal with innovative design. Propelling beauty and elegance, Bohemia and sophistication into an orbit of its own! Rocky Star unveils its enchanting Blush Éclat Spring/Summer 2025 collection, a poetic tribute to the essence of spring. This collection dances gracefully through a palette of soft pastels—ivory, blush pink, and a whisper of midnight black—crafted for the modern woman who appreciates simplicity and elegance. Blush Éclat embodies lightness and fluidity, featuring mesmerising print-on-print florals and luxuriously soft fabrics that drape beautifully. Whimsical frills add a playful touch, while delicate embroidery elevates the elegance of each piece. With a focus on cut, comfort, fit, and finish, Rocky Star transforms visions into haute couture, bridal wear, luxury prêt-à-porter, and accessories for both women and men. The brand dedicated to crafting fashion that is as contemporary as it is rooted, embodying a spirit of elegance and innovation. PR: BlackPR SøEdited Team: SøCreative Director: Chris Saint Sims SøFashion Director: Savannah Barthorpe For her Spring-Summer 2025 collection, Ariane Theunissen draws inspiration from a mythical era, that of Studio 54, where extravagance and individuality were celebrated without limits. Through this fashion show, the brand highlights a concerning contemporary phenomenon: the standardization of trends that pushes women to follow uniform aesthetic codes, thus erasing their creativity and differences, which were once at the very heart of fashion. While fashion is often perceived as a space of freedom, one truth becomes evident: by following the same influences and trends, we end up blending into an undifferentiated mass. Social media, the dictates of influencers, and beauty standards imposed by society contribute to this standardization of styles, progressively erasing the distinctive traits that enrich our identities. Theunissen Paris shines a light on this drift, where the quest for a "perfect" appearance transforms into a form of collective erasure. |
