SøEdited Team SøBeauty Director: Astrid Kearney SøEditor-in-Chief: Chris Saint Sims SøFashion Director: Savannah Barthorpe London Fashion Week’s Backstage Beauty was a playground of innovation, where makeup and hair pushed boundaries to complement the striking visions of four standout designers from the HKTDC Fashion Hong Kong showcase: Angus Tsui, Bettie Jiang, Rickyywong and Zidi. Lead artist Mandy Gakhal, with the AOFM Pro Team, sculpted four striking looks: razor-sharp spiked lashes, powder blue and purpleshadows, and yellow lids, with glossy skin paired with a neutral lip. Elsewhere, white waterlines and ethereal lashes created a minimalist contrast and others empowered a power-red lip moment. Dermalogica prepped the skin, Glossier Hybrid Serum amplified glow, and Danessa Myricks provided high-impact pigments. Under the creative helm of Lead Hair Diego Miranda United Hair UK, the hair looks played with extremes—tight curls teased into ’80s punk rebellion, mullet wings in chaotic, trashy hues, slicked wet textures with double wedges, and romantic, soft twists for a poetic contrast. Using Unite Hair, Miranda crafted a symphony of structured chaos and effortless rebellion. Organized by the HKTDC, the Fashion Hong Kong showcase reinforced Hong Kong’s status as a fashion capital, spotlighting sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration. From the backstage chairs to the runway, London Fashion Week’s beauty was a fearless celebration of artistry, individuality, and the future of fashion.
