Backstage at the London College of Fashion (LCF), the beauty was all about clean, luminous simplicity with a touch of modern edge. The makeup focused on a dewy, fresh complexion—the kind of glow that felt effortlessly radiant. Eyes were kept neutral, with glossy lids that shimmered with a soft, ethereal light, while cheeks caught the light with a subtle, luminous glow. ​

​Lips were matte, grounding the look with a sophisticated, understated finish. Hair was effortlessly cool—polished yet undone, with an airy, weightless movement—while great wigs, plasticised with paint at the crown, added an avant-garde, sculptural element. Everything felt clean, with luminous skin and touches of gloss, but still balanced with a cool, refined modernity. The look was glowing yet never overdone, a delicate dance between fresh-faced radiance and cool, minimal elegance. The overall inspo? Beautiful Alien—a look that felt otherworldly yet completely wearable, like beauty from a realm just beyond our reach.

​This backstage beauty seamlessly aligned with the fashion on display as LCF returned to the official London Fashion Week schedule this season, presenting a bold new format. The designs from the MA Fashion Design Technology (Menswear) and MA Fashion Design Technology (Womenswear) courses were a stunning showcase of innovation and mastery. LCF’s philosophy of open, inclusive education encourages students to examine the past, question the present, and challenge social and political agendas, resulting in collections that were not just fashionable but fearless. Each design made a statement, blending creativity with thought-provoking commentary, reflecting a fresh perspective on fashion’s future.

​The combination of LCF's forward-thinking beauty and fashion felt like a celebration of individuality, with both elements—whether in makeup, hair, or design—driven by a fearless sense of self-expression and a bold embrace of what’s to come. Together, they told a story of modern elegance and limitless potential, where innovation and creativity reigned supreme.
