The tenth edition of Apertura Madrid Gallery Weekend is taking place from 12-15 September 2019 in 49 galleries across the city.
Join global culture vultures who will be flocking to the city to enjoy the plethora of art galleries and museums showcasing exclusive exhibitions from more than 70 contemporary artists and designers.
Coupled with with extended opening hours, the city comes alive with culture and collectors, experts and curators from all over the world, converge in events and programmes to celebrate arts diversity.
Free for all, visitors can enjoy everything from avant-garde to contemporary art, as well as numerous disciplines: painting, photography, sculpture, installation in a complete programme of carefully curated activities which aim to bring the general public closer to contemporary art and spread the word about Madrid’s art scene.
With the city's major cultural institutions- Reina Sofia Museum, Thyssen Museum, Dos de Mayo Centre and ARCOMadrid taking part, there will be opportunity for families, culture vultures or those with a passion for the new to enjoy exploring the whole city.
