Upon entering 2019 I felt a combination of anxiety and optimism fresh in the air as this years resolutions accompanied by last years commitment of ‘living my best life’ I concluded absolutely had to be my prime focus with regards to my personal wellness.
With mainstream backing from beauty and lifestyle brands confirming the messages that we can become our best self in ‘2000 easy steps’, the Carrie Bradshaw lifestyle finally seems on the horizon.
In the past I feel I have made the mistake of not prioritising my mental wellbeing and have cruelly suffered the consequences. This year I have made the decision to make my mental health my priority. I know now that if I want to look after the emotional aspect of my well being I need to make the steps to doing so fun, easy and cost effective in order for them to be effective.
On my mission to my best life I decided to create a personal mantra to help me stay on track, It transpired as “Show up and let Go”. At first even to me this sounded confusing what am I letting go of? Where am i showing up? I am making a conscious effort to well let go of that which I feel no longer serves me and showing up for me! Letting go and moving on!
I am committed to working on practical solutions to more complex emotional issues.
Wellness to me is the quality of the state of mind and keeping things in your life that have value to your vision of your best life. Over the coming weeks I will be sharing my experience of dismantling this concept, in the meantime let us be positive, happy and show up for ourselves every day.
