Tommy Hilfiger over the past few years has seen much success after changing their fundamental business model of delivering collections.
The company’s success in its collaboration collection has long been the catalyst needed for reviving the brand and creating its current relevance. Step forward Brooklyn designer and Tommy Hilfiger mentee Romeo Hunte, NYC’s master disruptor and deconstruction technician.
Hilfiger gave Hunte access to their archives and he fitting reinterpreted signature classics into new covetable pieces with his unmistakable street style vision. The result is a hybridisation of heritage garments with surprising proportions and blend, classic button downs are injected freshness in vividly striking colours. A classic trench is reborn sleeves, colour blocked and to remind us or inform others “IT’S JUST A TRENCH” amusingly printed on the storm flap.
This AW 21 collection drops on 12th August. One not to miss! The old guard encounters the new guard with a seamless transition.
